Show me How Good it Can Get

Find something that moves you and declare it over your day!

The tongue is a powerful thing; it can either be a weapon or a piece of armor. Many use words with no intention, in absolute disbelief of the effects it may have on one’s life. What you say in the midst of turbulent feelings can trigger an erratic spiral if you’re not careful. Through the spiral, you create this effortlessly woven creature that embodies all that you don’t want, and it creates a cycle. This impulsive repetition creates a belief; this tower of belief once built on a strong structure of fractured thoughts is so solid it takes twice as long to tear down.

The cycle of what you create begins with you! What are you thinking? Why are you thinking it? Can you reverse those negative feelings? Can you find three things to be grateful for today? Have you seen anything that sparks a new idea? What are you good at? What is a hidden talent you can use to impact others? How happy do you make those around you?

Reverse the Thought, Embody the Scripture

It may seem like mumbo jumbo, but anything’s better than letting your negative thoughts sprout a negative stream of consciousness. Instead of thinking mind over matter, sit and focus on the fact that you can choose what in your mind has matter! Whew! Lead with love and light is always a bright and bubbly way, but let’s wake up and find scripture to enforce what God has laid out for you to recite.

The book of Psalms in the bible has a huge impact on how to be moved by the spirit and settled in the natural to let God have his way. You can find words of encouragement, prayers of lament, prophetic insights, adoration and lastly personal reflection. It is a helpful source of spiritual expression that offers comfort and inspiration to those on their journey. Psalms 23 is what many of us are taught in our youth. When you take a moment to sit and relish in His provisions for you, the beginning of your day is optimized. Starting with gratitude positions you for a positive flow throughout the day.

Open Your Mouth and Rely on Him

Give yourself a chance to truly see how good it can get by allowing God to be the shepherd He told you He would be. You have to allow Him to be your God. Relish in the green pastures, surrender and be led beside the still waters. Give him the authority to allow His goodness to pursue you and chase you down. Your life can be BIG but it solely relies on your trust in Him.

This begins with your meditation of His word. Find a scripture suitable to you, one that let’s God be exactly who He says He is. Use your mouth and declare these words when you rise in the morning and before you go to sleep at night. This repetition will begin to reprogram your mind and make space for the good that has already been allotted to you. Tap into the frequency of what you deserve and put a stop to the scarcity that so desperately wants to wreck your potential!

For Five Days:

Choose your favorite scripture. Recently I’ve been reciting Psalms 121 and 150. These two scriptures hit key points in the desire to dwell in His goodness and resonate with where I am currently. Psalms 121 highlights looking to God, trusting that He will not let you stumble, nor will He let anything harm you. He is your guardian. Psalms 150 exalts His name! This is a chance to start the day with giving God the glory. Give Him thanks for all He does and praise His name! All of this is an opportunity to also change your posture and step out on faith.

Though you know what you need, you may not know how to maneuver through it; so, I encourage you to rely on God to be your tour guide. Take the next five days and work through your emotions. Pinpoint your limiting beliefs and find scriptures that debunk them. Find scriptures that make you find strength in who He says He is. Be bold and find courage when demanding that a God who is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above what you ask is surely capable of being given the task to show you just how good it can get!

Come back and comment once you’ve begun the exercise! You’ll be surprised on day 1 when you see Him in the little things, it’ll be revealed to you just how quick He works. Apart of this journey relies on you to walk out on faith and believe in the impossible. Trust that because you’ve asked, and He has heard you… it will be done. 1 John 5:15
